White on Black

White on Black

This past weekend was the fashion and beauty summit BeautyCon held out in sunny Los Angeles, and I was fortunate enough to get a chance to attend.

I wanted to wear something simple and relaxed for the day, yet still look chic and polished. I ended up going with a minimalistic white top and some high waisted leather shorts, topped off with a statement necklace.

Pop of Pink

One of my favourite things about this time of year is the beautiful sight of cherry blossom trees blooming all around the city. The delicate pink petals floating throughout the air paint Vancouver in a wash of romance.

It’s a shame that they only last for a few weeks, but I suppose that’s what makes them so special and celebrated. Their fleeting nature adds weight to their beauty and reverence.

I felt inspired to put together a bright spring-time outfit with loud splashes of color.

Experimented in shooting with my Nikon 55-200 mm camera lens, which I barely ever use due to neglectful laziness.

My Fair Lady

Whenever I put this hat on, I instantly feel more elegant and lady-like.

I have always admired the spectacular hat game they have going on at the formal social gatherings in Europe.

Beautifully structured couture hats that are more like pieces of art than head gear… Kate Middleton must have the world’s most gorgeous accessories closet.

Sadly mine is just the basic black felt hat, but I do think it still adds that touch of lady.

Chambray with Me

The ever present denim shirt trend keeps going, and I wanted to do a little twist on it for my own version. I knotted the bottom ends, and folded in my collar to pair up with a leather A-line skirt.

I also did something I very rarely ever do… wear lipstick!

my new watch

Went with a classic red lip, and finished off the look with my new watch that just came in.

Cozy Day off with Cheerio

Things have been really hectic for me for the past couple of week. With meetings, new clients, new projects and Topshop on top of everything else, I feet like I barely had a chance to breathe.

But today I get the day off, and I’m really relishing the moment to just take some time for myself. Grabbing a tea and cozying up with my pet bunny Cheerio to catch up on my news and blog reading.

I’m wearing my new chunky knit sweater from Topshop.

Comfy in an oversized fit. Perfect for a cozy and chill afternoon like today.

Camo & Crop Tops

Wearing my camo military jacket with my shiny disco pants.

Had the best bagel sandwich the other day from Siegel’s Bagels. I ordered the Lox & Cream Cheese, which has wild sockeye salmon, cream cheese, red onion & capers.

It was ah.mazing. The salmon was melt in your mouth, the cream cheese a great compliment, and just the right touch of capers (not adding too much salt).

It doesn’t hurt that they’re open 24hours either.
